In January of 1990, Mr. Vojko Podgornik founded a new company in Maribor. The company was named Mikro+Polo d.o.o. and became an item through the fusion of two successful factories:

• Mikro – Processing Equipment Production and Pool Technology
• Polo – Production of Laboratory Equipment

We continued our business endeavors through producing laboratory equipment, which was successfully marketed all over the former republics of Yugoslavia. We broadened our business scale by starting to import laboratory tools and apparatuses. In 1991, we began to sell laboratory chemicals, and only a year later enriched our supply with diagnostic agents for microbiological and biochemical medical laboratories. Through the years of our business endeavors, we developed our own programme based on laboratory and processing equipment, tools and chemicals for developmental, research and diagnostic laboratories, individually manufactured apparatuses, project planning and laboratory construction, individually manufactured laboratory furniture, and complete servicing,  repair and validation of sold apparatuses and equipment.

Since 1996, we issue our own laboratory equipment, tools and chemicals catalogue.
