The “SCAN. ANSWER. SNACK.” promotional activity is organised by:

The promotional activity is carried out in cooperation with Incom d.o.o. (Leone), Tovarniška cesta 6A, 5270 Ajdovščina, Slovenia, which provides the promotional protein bars.
The FOODMicro 2026 conference and its organisers are not responsible for the organisation or execution of this promotional activity.
2. Duration and Location
The promotional activity takes place during FOODMicro 2026, from 7 to 10 September 2026, at the MIKRO+POLO exhibition booth at Cankarjev dom, Ljubljana, Slovenia.
The promotion is available during exhibition opening hours and while stocks of protein bars last.
3. Eligibility
Participation is open to individuals aged 18 or over attending FOODMicro 2026.
Employees of MIKRO+POLO d.o.o., Incom d.o.o., and persons directly involved in organising the promotional activity are not eligible to receive a promotional reward.
Participation is voluntary and free of charge. No purchase is necessary.
4. How to Participate
To participate, the participant must:
- scan the QR code available at the MIKRO+POLO booth;
- answer the following question:
What is currently your biggest challenge in microbiological testing?
A) The time required to prepare and perform analyses
B) A high level of manual work and the risk of errors
C) We are satisfied with our current results and workflow
- provide the required contact details in the online form; and
- submit the completed form.
There is no right or wrong answer. The purpose of the question is to gather participants’ views and better understand current challenges in microbiological testing.
Each person may participate once during the promotional period.
5. Promotional Reward
Each eligible participant who completes the steps described above is entitled to receive one Leone protein bar, subject to availability.
The protein bar is provided immediately at the MIKRO+POLO booth after successful submission of the form.
The reward:
- cannot be exchanged for cash;
- cannot be exchanged for another product or service;
- is limited to one protein bar per participant; and
- is available only while stocks last.
The available flavour or variety of the protein bar may vary.
Participants are responsible for checking the product packaging for ingredients, allergens, nutritional information, and any other relevant product information before consumption.
6. No Prize Draw
This promotional activity does not involve a prize draw, lottery, or competition based on chance or the correctness of the answer.
Every eligible participant who completes the required steps may receive the promotional reward, subject to these Terms and Conditions and product availability.
7. Personal Data and Privacy
MIKRO+POLO d.o.o. is the controller of the personal data collected through the promotional activity.
Depending on the fields included in the participation form, the organiser may collect information such as the participant’s name and surname, company, job title or department, business email address, and other contact details indicated in the form.
Personal data collected as part of the promotional activity will be used to:
- administer the promotional activity;
- verify participation and prevent duplicate participation;
- analyse responses to the survey question; and
- prepare anonymous or aggregated statistics and insights.
Personal data collected solely for administering the promotional activity will not be shared with Incom d.o.o. (Leone) or other third parties unless this is necessary for technical processing, required by law, or expressly communicated to the participant.
Survey responses may be retained in anonymised or aggregated form after personal identifiers have been removed.
Personal data will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the MIKRO+POLO Privacy Policy.

8. Marketing Communications
Participation in the promotional activity does not automatically constitute consent to receive marketing communications.
Where participants are given the option to subscribe to newsletters, product information, event invitations, commercial offers, or other marketing communications, such consent must be provided separately and voluntarily.
Choosing not to consent to marketing communications does not affect the participant’s right to participate in the promotional activity or receive the protein bar.
Participants who provide marketing consent may withdraw it at any time in accordance with the MIKRO+POLO Privacy Policy.
9. Responsibility
The organiser will make reasonable efforts to ensure that the promotional activity operates as intended.
The organiser is not responsible for temporary technical issues, internet connection problems, QR code availability, device compatibility, or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control that may affect participation.
The organiser reserves the right to refuse a reward where there is reasonable evidence of duplicate participation, manipulation, misuse, or failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is not permitted by applicable law.
10. Changes or Early Termination
The organiser reserves the right to amend, suspend, or terminate the promotional activity where circumstances beyond its reasonable control make this necessary.
Any changes will not affect rewards already validly claimed by participants.
11. Acceptance of the Terms
By submitting the participation form, the participant confirms that they have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
These Terms and Conditions are available to participants electronically through the QR-code participation form and/or the MIKRO+POLO website.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Slovenia.
The organiser and participant will endeavour to resolve any dispute arising from the promotional activity amicably. If this is not possible, the competent court in Maribor, Slovenia, shall have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory provisions of applicable law.
13. Entry Into Force
These Terms and Conditions enter into force on 7 September 2026 and remain applicable until the conclusion of the promotional activity on 10 September 2026.
