We have prepared the manual “Golden rules for a pleasant working environment with a dog”. We are really proud of it, because we believe that we are the first to bring together theory, practice and experience in this way. We designed the manual with the aim of sharing an example of good practice.
First of all, we would like to thank the Society for the Protection of Animals, especially Žana Klobučar, for her expertise, time and willingness for a joint project. To you colleagues for sharing your rich experience and giving feedback that surely gives the user of the manual the most weight. The biggest thanks, of course, goes to our beautiful dog models, who make us happy and happy every day with their wet snots and soft fur that we love to pet.
Through years of experience, we have adopted internal rules that enable us to have the best coexistence that we all deserve, both our colleagues and the animals that come to us. That is why it is important to pass these practices on to our (new) colleagues, external partners and anyone who would like to introduce an example of good practice into their company.
In addition to the well-being of the dog, it is also important to consider the well-being of the company and all employees. Dog owners must be responsible for their dogs and ensure that their presence does not interfere with the work process. Each organization has its own peculiarities that affect the decision on whether dogs are allowed in the workplace, so it is important to clearly define the rules and adapt the environment to the dog’s needs.
The first and GOLDEN RULE is: 3x WELL-BEING! In doing so, we prioritized ensuring the well-being of the dog, which is of vital importance in the entire process of introduction to the workplace.
In the end, the key is to ensure a pleasant stay for everyone in the work process, where the dog does not disturb the work process and everyone present.
Proper introduction of a dog to the workplace is therefore only possible by ensuring the well-being of the dog, the company and all employees. With this, we can achieve a pleasant and successful working environment, where the dog does not disturb the work process and those present.
Puppies welcome!
